About Us / History
First founded in the early 60's, the business was formerly known as Clanton Block and was established with the intent of providing new homeowners, businesses and contractors with top of the line merchandise, expert advice and only the best of service to ensure their building needs were fulfilled.
The company thrived upon its opening and continued to do so over the following forty years until 1999, when the previous owner retired and entrusted the establishment to brothers Manuel and Cesar Maldonado.
The brothers brought a fresh new face to Clanton Block in the form of Pueblo Building Materials, Inc., a name that would become known as Santa Clarita Valley's primary masonry dealer.
Through their consistently exceptional service and community awareness, the company increased its clientele, obtaining new accounts with not only school districts, landscapers, contractors and major pool builders, but also with amusement parks and major motion picture studios.
The company continued to grow and in 2005, due to the success of Pueblo Building Materials, Inc., the Maldonado Brothers decided to expand and embark on a new venture, founding Rancho Building Materials in Bakersfield, California.
Manuel continues to run Pueblo Building Materials in association with his brother Anthony under the same morals and principles it was founded upon, ensuring nothing less than the best for their customers as the Maldonado brothers believe that a company can only be as successful as their customers satisfaction.
